I feel like I've been squatting on this domain since the Internet began. And for the longest time, I was always planning on creating a resource for emergency preparedness. It wasn't until a straw poll amongst some co-workers and a thumbs up from the Mrs., that I decided to take it a different direction: Backups.
Hard drives, photos, cloud storage...you know "digital jazz" man! Digital cameras and computers have been awesome. Once upon a time you had to buy film. Take 24 to 36 pictures (good or bad) and then return to the store and get them developed. A physical record of your life. But I bet like me you don't develop as many pictures so a lot of our photos are sitting on our hard drives that could be lost from a hard drive crash.
So my purpose is this: I want to help you get organized and have a plan for making sure this doesn't happen. That your memories are safe.
